RESOLUTION NUMBER 84-3727
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE REASONABLE AND SAFE MAXIMUM
SPEED LIMIT FOR TRUCKS ON OHIO STREET BETWEEN PACIFIC STREET AND
BELMiONT BOULEVARD.
BE, IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 8-1560
it is hereby determined that the reasonable and safe maximum speed permitted
I for trucks on Ohio Street between Pacific Street and Belmont Boulevard shall
be 30 m.p.h. For the purpose of this resolution a "truck" means every motor
vehicle designed', used or maintained primarily for the transportation of
property or more than ten passengers; or any truck registered with a gross
vehicle weight of more than 12,000 pounds.
Section 2. That the provisions of this resolution shall be effective
upon adoption and installation of appropriate signs or markings giving notice
thereof.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
13th day of August, 1984.
