RESOLUTION NUMBER 88-3972
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE APPLICATION AND PERMIT FEES
FOR THE USE OF THE SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL AREA FOR DUMPING OF SOLID
WASTE WHICH ORIGINATES OUTSIDE OF SALINE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 88-9240 authorizes the use of the solid
waste disposal area for waste originating outside the county by permit; and,
WHEREAS, it is the wish of the City Commission to establish
appropriate application and permit fees which accurately reflect administrative
costs to the City in conjunction with the issuance of permits to use the solid
waste disposal area for waste originating outside the county, SO NOW,
THEREFORE
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That any applicant for a permit for disposal of solid waste
originating outside the county shall pay a nonrefundable application fee of
Twenty Dollars ($20) for the first source of waste plus Ten Dollars ($10) for
each additional source of waste listed on the permit application.
Section 2. That if any of the sources of waste listed on the
application are approved by the City Manager, a permit shall be issued by the
City Clerk's Office to the applicant for approved sources upon full . payment in
advance of a fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100) for each year or partial year
that the permit is to be in effect.
Section 3. That in the event a request is made to revise the original
application, a nonrefundable application fee of Ten Dollars ($10) shall be paid
for each request for approval of an additional source, or change in the nature of
the waste material, volume of the waste material, or frequency of dumping for a
previously approved source.
Section 4. That the fee structure outlined in Sections 1 through 3
above shall likewise apply in the event of reapplication following expiration of a
previously issued permit.
Section 5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
25th day of April, 1988.
