88-3951 Sale of Park Land1 1 1 (First Published in The Salina Journal1�), 1988) RESOLUTION NUMBER 88-3951 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REAL ESTATE IS NO LONGER NEEDED BY THE CITY OF SALINA FOR PARK PURPOSES AND THAT A SALE THEREOF WOULD BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY. Kansas• - BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of -the City of Salina, Section 1. That it is hereby determined that the following described real estate is no longer needed or required for park purposes of the City of Salina, Kansas: A tract of land in Leavenworth Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point that is the northwest corner of Lot -Ten (10), Block Twelve (12), said Leavenworth Addition; thence northeasterly along the north line of said Lot Ten (10) to the northeast corner of said Lot Ten (10) ; thence north along the west line of Lot Nine (9) and Lot One (1), said Block Twelve (12) , a distance of one hundred sixty feet (160'); thence west along a line parallel with the south right-of-way line of University Place to the east right-of-way line of Broadway Boulevard a distance of two hundred twenty-five feet (225') to the point of beginning. Said tract contains 0.44 acres, more or less. . Section 2. That it would be in the best interest of the City of Salina, Kansas, that the above described land be sold. Section 3. That if within thirty (30) days from the date of the last publication of this resolution there has not been filed with the City Clerk a protest signed by the qualified electors of the City of Salina equal in number to not less than . ten percent (10%) of the electors who voted in the last preceding regular., city election as shown by the poll books, then the City of Salina will proceed to sell said property. Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication twice in the official city newspaper.
