AN ORDINANCE providing for the construction of...c-e.rtain_sidewalk in the
City.of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate abutting
on the north.side of Decatur Street between.Seventh Street and Ninth Street,
the west side of Eighth Street between Lincoln Avenue and Grand Avenue; -on
he south side of Grand Avenue between Santa Fe.Avenue and Thirteenth Street,
on the east side of Eighth Street from Grand.Avenue..to the north side 6.0
got No. 17, Block 14, Pacific Addition; on the east side of Tenth Street be

Pacific Avenue and the north line of Lot No. 7, Block -4, in Episcopal Military
Institute Addition, all in the City of Salina, Kansas,'are hereby required to
onstruct or cause to be constructed on or before the 20th day of'June, 1913, a

ribed, said sidewalk to be constructed of the material, width and in the man-
er specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance No. 1038, 'of the

Sec. 2 That the"committee on sidewalks of the city council.shall, as.
oon as practicable after the said 20th day of June, 1913, cause such.sidewalk
s described in Section One hereof to be constructed and repaired as herein pro-
vided where such oemer or owners fail, neglect or refuse to build and repair the
ame, as provided herein, and shall report their proceedings, together with.the

Sec. 3. -The expense of constructing..and repairing said walk'by said
ommittee shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according

An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in
the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of.the city of Salina:
Section 1., That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
abuttinn on the north side of Decatur street between Seven+h street and
-- .41ntfl street, and on the west side of Eighth street between Linclon
avenue and Grand avenue- on the south side of Grand avenue between Santa
Fe avenue and Thirteenth street,and on the east side of Eighth street
from Grand avenue to the north side of Lot No. 171 Block No. 14 Pacific
addition; on the east side of Tenth street between Bishopp street and
Elm street; on the north side of Pacific avenue between Santa Fe avenue
and Fifth street, and on the east side of Fifth street between Pacific
avenue and the. north line of Lot No,. 7, Block 4, in Episcopal Military

in the city of Salina, Kansas, are hereby required to construct or cause

a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to all the lots or parts of lots
above'described, said sidewalk to be constructed of the material, wid"th
and. in the manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1038, of the printed ordinances of the city of.Salina, which said
ordinance No-. 1O38.is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance --'and that the oi,mer or owners of the west half of Lot 26, 28,
30 and 32 on Eighth street, within the time above specified, shall cause
the sidewalk abutting such lots, on the east side ot, Nintly street, to be
repaired and re -constructed by raisin; the same tohe grade of said
Ninth street., at such. point, such grade to be given by the city engineer.
Sect. 6n' 2. That the committee.on sidewalks of the city council shall,
as soon as practicable after the said e7,1,'62day of �TUne,_L9J,�, _
cause such sidewalk as described in Section One hereof to be constructed

/has herein provided where such owner or owners fail, neglect or refuse to
build Athe .same, as provided herein, and shall report their proceedings,

together with the length and dimensions of the walk so constructed by
said committee and the actual expense thereof to the city council.
Sec.it'ron3 3. The expense of constructingasaid walk by said committee
shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
r the.front.foot thereof, and collected as other taxes against such real
estate.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
