An Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a
.certain claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina; Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of $3,642.27 be and the same
is hereby appropriated to The Smith -Graham Construction Com-
pany.froin the Special Paving Fund in the hands.of the City
Treasurer for the payment of 850 of the contract price for
the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and pav-
ing Elm Street from Des Moines Avenue to Ohio Street in said
City, according to City Engineerts Estimate Number 5-A on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City..
Section.2. That scrip of the City of -Salina, Kansas be
drawn upon the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
specified in Section One (1) of -this ordinance, said.scrip
to be made payable on or before April lst, 1923, and to bear
interest at the rate of 32o per annum.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage.

be drawn upon the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
