An Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of
a certain claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of $21,420.21 be and the same
is hereby appropriated to The Smith -Graham Construction Company
from the, Special Paving Fund in the -hands of the City Treas--
urer for the payment of 85 of the contract price for the
cost of excavating, grading and paving Elm 6treet from Elm
Street'Bridge to Front Street; curbing, guttering, excavat-
ing, grading and paving Elm Street from'Oront Street to Sec-
ond Street, and from Elm Street Bridge to Penn Avenue; and
of Penn Avenue from Elm Street to Riverside Boulevard, ac-
cording to City #engineer'sEstimate Number 4-A on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City.
Section 2. That scrip of the City of Salina, Kansas
be drawn on the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
specified in Section One (1) of this ordinance, said scrip
to be made payable on or before April lst, 1923, and to bear
interest at the rate of 32 j' per annum.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage.

An Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a
certain claim/
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of $21,420.21 be and the same
