An Ordinance providing for the condemnation and appropriation
of certain lots, tracts and -pieces -of grround in the City
of Salina, Kansas for the purpose of opening Frost Street
in said City between Sherman Street -arid Ninth atreet
therein -and providing for the appointment of appraisers
therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That it is necessary that there should be
appropriated and condemned and there is hereby appropriated
and condemned for the purpose of opening Frost :Street in the
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, between Sherman Street
and Ninth Street therein, which said street when so opened
shall be known as Frost Si-reet, the following described lots,
tracts, -and pieces of ground, to -wit.:
The south -30 feet of Block 6, Surveyors Plat
Number 10, in the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas, and
The north 30 feet of Block 71 Surveyors Plat
Number, 10 in the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas, as shown by the recorded plat thereof,
except such part of said described lots, tracts
and pieces of ground as has been heretofore or
otherwise appropriated for the opening of Tenth
Street, Eleventh Street and Sherman Street in
said City of Salina.
Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners shall ap-
point three disinterested appraisers and householders -to assess.
the damage and benefits caused by the appropriation and con-
demnation of such lots and pieces of ground, -and who shall
ascertain the actual value of the land so taken without re-
ference to the projected improvements, and the actual damage
done to all other property thereby; for the payment of such
valuation and damages,'the appraisers shall assess against
the City the amount of benefit to the public generally by
reason of the proposed improvement and the remainder of such
amounts shall be assessed against the property within the
benefit district to be created which, in the opinion of the
appraisers, shall be esepcially benefited by the proposed im-
provement. Such appraisers shall make due report in writing
of their proceedings to the Board of Commissioners.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.

An Ordinance providing for the condemnation and appropriation of

demned for the purpose of opening Frost Street in the City of

The South.Thirty (30) feet of Block Six (6), Surveyors
Plat Number Ten (10) in the City of Salina., Saline County,
Kansas, and
The North Thirty (30) feet of Block Seven (7), Surveyors
Plat Number . Ten (10) in the City of Sal ina, Sal ine County,
Kansas, as shown by the recorded plat thereof, except such
part of said described lots, tracts and pieces of ground
as has been here -to -fore or otherwise appropriated for the
opening of Tenth Street, Eleventh Street and Sherman
Street in said City of Salina.
Section 2. That the Board. of Commissioners shall appoint three
