An Ordinance providing for the condemnation and appropriation
of certain lots, tracts and pieces of ground in the
City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of opening and
extending Tenth Street - in said -City, from the south'
line -of Frost tree6-the-north line of ' Republic
Avenue therein, and -providing for the appointment of
appraisers therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That it is necessary that there should be
appropriated and condemned and there is hereby appropriated
and condemned for the purpose of opening and extending Tenth
Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, from the south line'.of
Frost Street therein to the north line of Republic Avenue
therein, which said street when so opened and extended shall
be known .as Tenth Street, the following lots, tracts and
pieces of ground, to -wit:
A 60 foot strip of land running north -and south
through Blocks 7, 8, 9, 109 11 and 17, all in
Surveyors Plat Number -10, in the City of Salina,_
Saline County, Kansas, according to the recorded
plat thereof, the east line of said 60 foot strip
to be parallel to and 283-6 feet west of the west_
line of Ninth Street in said City between Crawford
Street and Republic.Avenue therein, except so much
thereof as shall have been heretofore or otherwise
appropriated and condemned for the opening, extending
or widening of any public street or streets in said
City.
Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners shall
appoint three disinterested appraisers and householders°to
assess the damage and benefits caused by the appropriation
and condemnation of such lots and the actual damage done to
all other property thereby; for the payment of such valua-
tion and damages, the appraisers shall assess against the
City the amount of benefit to the public generally by reason
of the proposed improvement and the remainder of such amounts
shall be assessed against the property within the benefit
district to be created which, in the opinion of the apprais-
ers, shall be especially benefited by the proposed improvement.
Such appraisers shall make due report in writing; of their pro-
ceedings to the Board of Commissioners.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.

An Ordinance providing for the condemnation and appropriation of
certain lots, tracts and, pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of opening and extending
Tenth Street in said City, from the south line of Frost
Street to the north line of Republic Avenue therein, and
providing for the appointment of appraisers therefor.
BE .IT ORDAINED by the Board of Cbmmissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas,
Section 1. That it is necessary -that there should be appro-
priated and condemned and there is hereby appropriated and con-
demned for the purpose of opening and extending 'Tenth Street in
the City of Salina, Kansas, from the south line of Frost Street
therein to the north line of Republic Avenue therein, which said
street when so opened and extended shall be known as "Tenth Street",
the following lots, tracts and pieces of ground, to -wit:
A sixty (60) foot strip of land running north and south
through Blocks seven (7), Eight (8),.Nine (9), Ten (10),
Eleven (11) , and Seventeen (17), all in Surveyors Plat
Number Ten (10) in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas,
according to the recorded plat thereof, the east line of.said
sixty (60) foot strip to be parallel to.and two hundred eighty-
three and six -tenths (2836/10) feet west of the west line
of Ninth Street in said City of Salina between Crawford Street
and _Republic Avenue therein, except so much thereof as "shall
have been heretofore or otherwise appropriated and condemned for
the opening, extending or widening any public street or streets
in said City.
Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners shall appoint three

force from and after its publication once in, the official City paper.
