An Ordinance making an appropriation for .the payment of a
certain claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of $10,224.86 be and the same
is hereby appropriated to The Smith -Graham Construction Company
from the Special Paving Fund in the hands.of the City Treas-
urer for the payment of 85% of the contract price for the cost
of excavating, grading -and -paving Ash Street from Ash Street
Bridge to Oakdale Avenue according to City Engineer's Estimate
No. 3-A on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
Section 2. That scrip of the City of Salina, Kansas
be drawn upon the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
specified in Section One (1) of this ordinance, said scrip to
be made payable on or before April lst, 1923 and to bear in-
terest at the rate of 3?% per annum.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage.
