An Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a certain
claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Corfua.issioners of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the sum of $17,987.79 be and the same
is hereby appropriated to The Smith-Uraham Construction Company amara
the special Paving Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer of the
City of Salina, Kansas for the payment of 90% of the contract
price for the cast o'L curbing, guttering, excavating and paving
ELEVENTH STREET from Ash Street to State Street; _ REPUBLIC AVENUE

froin Santa Fe Avenue to Highland Avenue; and _ NINTH STREET from
Minneapolis . Avenue to Jewell Avenue, ae.00rding to the City
Engineer's estimate Number Three (3) on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City.
Section 2. That scrip of the City of Salina, Kansas
be drawn on the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
specified in Section One (1) of this ordinance, said scrip to be:
payable on or before September 1st, 1922 and to bear interest
at the rate of 6% per annum.
S'e'ction 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas: o
Section 1. That the sum of $17,987.79'be and the same
is hereby appropriated to The Smith -Graham Construction Company
from the special Paving Fund in the hands of the City Treas-
urer of the City of Salina, Kansas for the payment of 90%
of the contract price for the cost of curbing, guttering,
excavating and paving Eleventh Street from Ash Street to .
State Street; Republic Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to High-
land Avenue; and Ninth Street from_Minneapo,lis Avenue to
Jewell Avenue, according to City Engineers estimate Number
Three (3) on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City.
Section 2. That scrip of the City of Salina, Kansas
be drawn on the City Treasurer of said City for the amount
specified in Section One (1) of this ordinance, said scrip
to be payable on or before September 1st, 1922 and to bear
