BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. Said amounts levied, apportioned and assessed aforesaid, shall be due and collectible in ten (10) equal in 6tallments, the first becoming due with the taxes levied for the year 1922, and one of said installments falling.due each and every year thereafter until all are paid, and all to be collected with interest as in this ordinance provided; PROVIDED, that the owner of any piece of property liable for any such special assess- ment may redeem his property from such liability by paying into the City Treasury the entire amount `chargeable against the same as this ordinance designated, at any tirrme within thirty (30) days after the publication of this ordinance and before the issuari. ce of the bonds of said City in payment of the balance of the cost of said improvements, and his property so paid on shall not thereafter be liable for any further assessments for the cost of said improvements, nor for any part of said bond. Section 3. There is hereby further levied and assessed against lot and piece of ground described in this ordinance six (6) per cent interest per annum on all of said installments therein mentioned from the date of the bonds which may be issued at the end of thirty days ascspecified in the preceding section ' :o hereof, as by law provided, to the time of.collection of the last of said installments as provided by law, which said inter- est shall be collected annually at the same time and in the same iiianner as said installments arel'' collected; and after the taking effect of this ordinance, it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of said City to annually!at the same.time other taxes are certified, and until all of said assessments so apportioned and levied herein have been certified, to certify to the County Clerk of Saline County;, Kansas, a full list of property liable to assessment and taxation for such work and improvement, except such property onljwnich the special assess- ments aforesaid ha ve.been paid in full., as hereinbefore pro- vided, vided, together with the respective amounts due on each of such lots and pieces of ground, which amounts shall include the annual installments of such special assessments together with the interest for one ,year at the rate of six (6) per cent per annum, on all unpaid balances ofjsuch assessments at the beginning of each such year as afor;,�said, and such amounts so certified as herein provided shall be'placed upon the tax roll f by the County Clerk of Saline County', Kansas and collected as I. 423 all otherLtt_xes are collected.
