An Ordinance amending Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number
1911 and repealing such original section.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina:
Section 1.' That Section One (1) of Ordinance Number 1911
be and the"same is hereby amended to read as follows, to -wit:
"Section 1. The amounts to'be paid for a license under
Ordinance Number 1552, passed and approved April 18th, 1910 shall
be as follows, to -wit: (a) For any automobile hack or motor pro-
pelled tehicle, with a seating capacity of more than five persons,
used for the transportation of passengers for hire within the City
of Salina, `30.00 per annum, or major portion thereof, for each
such vehicle, Provided, that any person licensing more ,than two
such vehicles, owned by him, under this sub -section, shall pay at
the rate of $25.00 per annum for each such vehicle over and above
two such vehicles.
(b)- For any automobile hack or motor propelled vehicle,
with a -seating capacty of five persons or less, used for the trans-
portation.of passengers for hire in the City of Salina, Kansas x,525.0
per annum, or major portion thereof; Provided, that any such per-
son licensing more than two such vehicles, owned by him, under this
sub -section shall pass at the rate of,$P20.00 per annum for each such
vehicle over and above two such vehicles.
(c) For any cab, hack, carriage or vehicle drawn by horse
or horses, used for the transportation of passengers for hire with-
in the City of Salina, 4'15.00 per annum, or major portion thereof;
provided, that any person licensing more than two such vehicles
under this sub -section, owned by him, shall pay at the rate of
X10.00 per annum for each such vehicle over.and'abo"ve two such
vehicles.
(d) For any motor, propelled -vehicle used in. the City of
Salina in the business of transporting for hire therein any goods,.
wares, merchandise, baggage, parcels, furniture or other thing or
property of any kind or nature whatsoever 415.00 per annum, or maj-
or portion thereof, for wach such vehicle; Provided, 'that any
person licensing more than two such vehicles under this sub -section
owned and operated by him shall pay at the rate"of 010.00 per annum
for each such vehicle over and above two such vehicles.
(e) "For any dray wagon, transfer wagon or other vehicle
drawn by horse or horses used in the City of Salina in the busi-
ness of transporting therein for hire any goods, wares, merchand-
ise, baggage, parcels or other thing or property of any kind or
nature whatsoever 0.50 per annum, or major portion thereof, for
each such vehicle; Provided that any person licensing more than
two such vehicles under this sub -section, owned and operated
by him shall pay at the rate of ;5.00 per annum for each such
vehicle over and above two such vehicles.
Section 2. That original -section Number One (1) of Ordi-
nance Number 1911 be and the same;is hereby repealed'.
Section 3.'. That all licenses heretofore issued under
authority "of Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number 1911 for
any-ocaupation, trade or calling covered thereby, -shall remain
in effect for the periods as provided for by the tenor of such
licenses and to the same effect as though said Section Number
One (1)_.of .Ordinance Number 1911 were not amended hereby.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.

ORDINANCE NO. 2499.
An Ordinance amending Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number
1911 and repealing such original section.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section One (1) of Ordinance Number 1911
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to -wit:
"Section 1. The amounts to be paid for a license under
Ordinance Number 1552, passed and approved April 18th, 1910, shall

per annum, or major portion thereof; Provided that any such person
licensing more than two such vehicles, owned by him, under this
sub -section, shall pay at the rate cif 420.00 per annum for each such
vehicle over and above two -such -vehicles.
(c) For any cab, hack, carriage or vehicle drawn by horse
or horses, used for the transportation of passengers for.hire within
the City of Salina, 415.00 per annum, or major portion thereof; pro-
vided that any person licensing more than two such vehicles under
this sub -section, owned by him, shall pay at the rate of x;10.00 per
annum for each such vehicle over and above two such vehicles.
(d) For any motor propelled vehicle used in the City of Salina
in the business of transporting for hire therein any goods, wares,
merchandise, baggage, parcels, furniture or other thing or property
of any kind or nature whatsoever $15.00 per annum, or major portion
thereof, for each such vehicle; Provided, that any person licensing
more than two such vehicles under this sub -section, owned and operated
by him shall pay at the`rate of $10.00 per annum for each such vehicle
over and
above
two
such
vehicles.
(e')
For
any

parcels.or other thing or property of any kind or nature whatsoever
$7.50 -per annum, or major portion thereof, for each such. vehicle;
Provided that any person licensing more than two such vehicles under
this sub -section, owned and operated by him shall pay at the rate of
$5.00 per annum for each such vehicle over and above two such vehicles.
Section 2. That original Section Number One (1) of Ordinance
Number 1911 be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That all licenses heretofore issued under authority
of Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number 1911 for any occupation,
trade or calling covered thereby, shall remain in effect for the
periods as provided for by the tenor of such licenses and to the same
effect as though said Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number 1911
were not amended hereby.
Section 4. This.ordinance shall be in force and effect from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
