An ordinance relating to the taking, accepting and approv-
ing of certain bonds in the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City. -

ity.of balina:
Section�l. That all bonds -for the use., benefit or
protection of the.City of Salina, required to be taken by
the statutes of the State and by the ordinances of the
City and by resolution of.the Board of,Commissioners of
said City from any person or corporation to secure the
faithful performance of any contract with the City, or
to indemnify the City against loss, damage or liability
growing out of any contract with the City, or out of the
issuance of any license or permit by the City where a bond
is required, shall be signed and executed as surety by
some surety company holding Certificate of Authority from
the Secretary of the Treasury under Acts of Congress as
acceptable surety-on,Federal_Bonds and lawfully doing busi-
ness in the State of.Kansas and maintaining a local agent
in the City of Salina, and that no bond not countersigned
by the Company's local agent in the City of Salina and / or
for an amount in excess of the limit for which the surety
may be accepted on any one Federal Bond will be accepted
and approved by the Board of Commissioners of said City.
Section 2. That all bonds required of contractors for
public improvements shall be signed and executed as surety
by some surety company holding Certificate of Authority from
the Secretary of the Treasury under Act's of Congress as
acceptable surety on Federal Bonds and lawfully doing busi-
ness in the State of Kansas and maintaining a local agent in
the City of Salina, and that no bond not countersigned by the
Comp anyls local agent in the City of Salina and / or for an
amount in excess of the limit for which the surety may be
accepted.on any one Federal Bond will be accepted and approved
-by the Board of Commissioners.
Section 3. All bonds herein provided for shall be signed
and executed by the party or parties from whom such bonds are
required in addition to the sureties on said bonds, and ex-
cept where otherwise provided by law the said bonds shall be
made to the City of Salina.
Section 4. A1.1 bonds herein provided for.shall be
submitted to and approved by the City Attorney; and after
such approval by the.City Attorney such bonds shall be ap-
proved by the Board of Commissioners.
Section 5. `.I'hi.s ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the offi-
cial paper.

ORDINANCE NO. 2399
An ordinance relating to the taking, accepting and approv-

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City

shall be made to the City of Salina.
Section 4. All bonds herein provided for shall be
submitted to and approved by the City Attorney; and after
such approval by the City Attorney such bonds shall be
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its publication once in
the official paper.
