2377 Public Welfare��4�� ORDINANCE NO. 2377 (published in The Salina Evening Journal March 26th, 1921) An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1923, being "Fin Ordinance creating a Board of Public Welfare for the -City of Salim., and fixing the powers and dutues of such Board," andrepealling said original section. BE IT, ORDAINED By the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina., Section.. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1923 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows; "Section 3. Such Board of Public Welfare and the members thereof shall serve without pay and shall have the direct super- vision and regulation of theatres, dance halls and other places of public amusement and recreation maintained or conducted for profit, and it shall be unlawful for any person to maintain or conduct for profit within the City of Salim any theatre, public dance hall or other -place of public amusement or recreation after the election of such Board, without first having received and having from such Board of Public Welfare a permit to maintain and conduct the same and any person convicted of violating any Of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $100.00.11 Section --2_, That said original section 3 of Ordinance No. 1923 be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 3._ This ordinance shall take effect. and be in full force from and after -its publication once in the official City paper. Passed and approved, March 21st, 1921. (SEAL) At est ; _9has . E.
