An ordinance amending Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1688,
and repealing said origiffia.l section.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of
Salina:
Section _1. That Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1688 be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 16, INSURnNCE COMPANIES; Insurance Companie s,
Agents or Agencies, Surety Bonding Companies, Agents or Agen-
cies
gen-cies handling and writing in the City of Salina, any kind or
manner of insurance or surety bonds, $10.00 per annum for
each Insurance Company or Bonding Company so represented,
excepting however, that no Insurance Company or Agent or
Agencies representing the same, and engaged solely in wirt -
ing fire, lightning or tornado insurance, either separately
or combined, shall be obligated to pay any license fee what -
soever and provided further that no Insurance Company organ-
ized and existing under the laws of the State of Kansas, and
having its principal office or place of business at the City
of Salina therein, shall be obligated to obtain any license
for the transaction of its business or to pay any license
fee' in regard to the tbansaction thereof."
Section_2. That said original section 16 of Ordinance
No . .168 8 be and the same is hereby repealed.
Sectign s . This ordinance shall take effect and be
in .force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.
