ORDINANCE NO. 2358"

An ordinance amending Section 1, , Section 2 and Section 3 of
Ordinance No. 2346 being entitled, "An ordinance making
a levy of taxes. for general revenue... and other purposes.
in the City of Salina, for the year 1.920," and repeal-
ing original sections 1, 2 and 3 thereof...
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
_Section 1. That Section -Number 1 of Ordinance number
2346 be and the same isherebyamended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That the sum of Seven and four -tenths of a
mill (.0074) on the dollar be and the same.is hereby levied on
all real,• personal and mixed property of whatsoever kind or
nature within the City of Salina, •Kansas, for the tear 1920
for the purposes hereinafter set forth and apportioned and
divided 'as follows:
For general Revenue, Two and Five -tenths of a mill ('.0025)
on the dollar.
For as water ar�d light fund,Five-tenths (Z a mill (.0005)
on the dollar.
For Ithe maintenance of a irp department and -for the pur-
chase of equipment there or-,. Five -Tenths of a mill ( .0005) on
the dollar.
For a sinking furid,Three-tenths of a mill ( .0003) on the
dollar.
For paying_ii terest on outstanding bonds , three -tenths
of a mill ( .0003) on the dollar.
For the annual installments of and interest on bonds
issued during the year 1910 -1911 -1912 -1913 -1915 -1916 -1917 -1918 -
and 1919, to pay for the paving and improving of the squares
and areas of streets Eight -tenths of a mill (.0008) on the dol-
lar.

For the support of a Free Public Library,` Three -tenths
( .0003) of a mill on the dollar.
For the support of a Municipal Band,_ two-tenths of a mill
(.0002) on the dollar.
Sectio 2. That the sum of one and eight -tenths (.0018)
mills on the dollare be and the same is hereby levied on all
real estate in the City. of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1920,
for the purpose of paying the annual installments of and the in-
terest on the outstanding Sewer Bonds of the City, issued dur-
ing the years 1910-1911-1913-1914-1915-1917-1918-1919 and 1920.
Section 3. That the valuation of the property upon which
the foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken
from the assessment rolls of the present year in the office of
the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and that it shall be
the duty of the City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas, immediate-
ly upon and after the passage of this ordinance to transmit a
duly certified copy of the same to the County Clerk of Saline
County, Kansas, so that the levy may be placed upon the tax roll
and the taxes collected according to law.
Section 4. That said original sections 1, 2 and 3 of Ordi-
nance Number 2346 be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.

No. 2346, being entitled, "Am Ordinance making a levy of taxes
for general revenue and other purposes in the City of Salina,
for the year 1920," and repealing original sections 1, 2 and
3 thereof,
