ORDINANCE NO. 2348
(Published in The Salina Evening Journal Aug, 21, 1920)
An ordinance making a special assessment and levy of taxes for
the cutting of weeds on certain lots and parts of lots
in the city of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAIINED, by the Mayor and Council of the City of Salina:
Section �l. That there be and is hereby levied a special
tax for the year 1920, in addition to the tax for general re -
venue and ether purposes for said year, for the y.� urpose of pay-
ing for the cutting of weeds by the City of Salina,. Kansas, from
August 18th, 1919 to August 16th, 1920, on the lots and parts
of lots against which said taxes are levied, said tax to be lev-
lied on the lots and parts of lots described as follows, and to
be in the amounts as follows, to -wit:

Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
the assessments made in Section 1 of this ordinance to the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed on the tax roll for
collection subject to the same penaltids and to be collected in
the same manner as other taxes are collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening
Journal.
