ORDINANCE NO. 2346
(Published in The Salina Evening Journal Aug. 21st, 1920)
An Ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other
purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1920.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section That the sum of Seven and Four -tenths mills
(.0074) mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on
all real, personal and mixed property of whatsoever kind or nat-
ure within the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1920, for
the purposes hereinafter set forth and apportioned and divided
as follows:
For GeneralRevenue,Three and five -tenths of a mill (.0035)
on the dollar.
For a Sinking Fund, Three -Tenths of a mill (.0003) on the
dollar.
For pa.yin interest on outstandin_b onda, Three -tenths of
a mill ( .0003) on the dollar.
For the annual installments of and interest on bonds issuued
during the years 1910-1911-1912-1913-1915-1916-1917-1918 and 1919
to pay for- the paving and improvin of the squares and areas formed
of streets Eight -tenths of a mill .0008) on the dollar.
For a Park Contingent Fund. Two -Tenths of a mill ( .0002)
on the ..dollar,.
For the support of a Free Public Librar-y,Three-Tenths of
a mill -(.0003) on the dollar.. -
For the support of a Municipal Band, Two-tenths of a mill
(.0002) on the dollar.
Section 2_.That the sum of One and tight -tenths ( .0018)
mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real
estate in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1920 for the
purpose of paying the annual installments of and the interest on
the outstanding Sewer Bonds of the City, issued during the years
1910-1911-1913-1914-1915-1916-191701918-1919 and 1920.
Section 3. That the valuation of the property upon which
the
foregoing taxes are levied and assessed, be in all cases tak-
en from the assessment rolls of the present year in the office of
the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and that it shall be
the duty of the City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas, imme-
diately
mme-diately upon and after the passage of this ordinance and on or
beofer the 25th day of August, -1920, to transmit a duly certified
copy of the same to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas,
so that the levy may be placed upon the tax roll and the taxes
collected according to law.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the offi-
cial City paper.

purpose of paying the annual installments of and the interest on
the outstanding Sewer Bonds, of the City issued during the years
1910-1911-1913-1914-1915-1916-1917-1918-1919 and 1920.

the foregoing taxes are levied and assessed, be in all cases taken
