An ordinance providing for the construction of certain, side-
walks in the_ City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and /Councilmen of the City of
Salina;
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the folowing
described lots and tracts of land in the.City of Salina, Kan-
sas, be and they are hereby required too construct or cause
to be constructed on or before the 22nd day of June, 1920,
a sidewalk in front of or adjacent't6 such lots hereinafter
described as follows, to -wit:
All lots on the north side of Pacific avenue
from Seventh Street to Ninth 6treet,
All lots on the east side of Eleventh Street
from Iron Avenue to State Street,
All lots on the south side of Grand Avenue
from Fifth Street to 'snta Fe Avenue,
Lot Twenty -Four (24) on Ninth Street in the .
Grounds of Kansas 0iesleyan University .
The south half of :Lot Two (2) on Ninth Street
Grounds . of Kansas Wesleyan University,
The south half of Lot Four (4) on Ninth Street,
Grounds of Kansas "�4esleyan University,
The south half of Lot 2ix (6) on Ninth Street,
Grounds of Kansas i elseyan University,
Lot twenty (20) , Block fifteen (15) Episcopal
Military Institute Addition.,
Lot thirty-one (31) Block fifteen (15) , Epis-
copal Military instutute 'Lddition,
Lot eighteen (18), Block fifteen (15), Epis-
copal Military Institute Addition,
Lot Sixteen (16), Block,fifteen (15), Epis-
copal Military Institute Addition,
East eighty-two and one-half (822) feet of
Lot 23, Elk. Four (4) , Riverside Park Addi-
tion,

Section 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks
shall be constructed of the material and in the width and
manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinan-
ces numbered 1038, 1971 and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kan-
sas, which said ordinances are hereby incorporated in and made
a part of this ordinance .

_Section 3. The Committee on sidewalks of .the Qity
Council stall, as soon as practicable after the 22nd day of
June, 1920, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be con-
structed if the owner or owners liable for such construction
shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct the same within
the time herein provided, and shall report their proceedings
together with the length and dimensions so constructed by said
committee together with the actual expense thereof to the City
Council.
Section 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks
by said committee, in event they construct the same shall be
assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said
real estate are collected.
section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.
