AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
w
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE '/4 ) of Section One (1) Township
Fourteen South (14S) Range Three West (3W) and the Southwest Quarter (SW '/4 ) of
Section Six (6) Township Fourteen South (14S) Range Two West (2W) of the Sixth
Principal Meridian all in Saline, County, Kansas more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section One (1) Township
Fourteen South (14S) Range Three West (3 W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian. Thence N
00001"49" E along the East line of said Southeast Quarter for a distance of 300.00 feet to
the Point of Beginning.
From the Point of Beginning. Thence, N 89° 57'28." W on a line 300.00 feet North of and
parallel with the South line of said Southeast Quarter for a distance of 459.39 feet to a point
on a line.
Thence, N 00° OF 41" E for a distance of 497.07 feet to the beginning of a non -tangent
curve,
Said curve turning to the left through an angle of 46° 13' 35", having a radius of 767.70
feet, and whose long chord bears S 60° 48' 56" W for a distance of 602.72 feet.
Thence, S 37° 15'59" W for a distance of 254.67 feet to a point on a line 300.00 feet north
of the South line of said Southeast Quarter.
Thence, N 89° 5728" W along said line for a distance of 129.66 feet to the beginning of a
non -tangent curve,
Said curve turning to the left through an angle of 05° 15'43.3", having a radius of 770.21
feet, and whose long chord bears N 39° 53' 51 " E for a distance of 70.71 feet.
Thence, N 37° 15' 59" E for a distance of 262.47 feet to the beginning of a non -tangent
curve,
Said curve turning to the right through an angle of 52° 45'50.3", having a radius of 870.21
feet, and whose long chord bears N 63° 38'54" E for a distance of 773.36 feet to a point of
intersection with a non-tangential line.
Thence, S 89° 58' 11" E for a distance of 181.97 feet.
Thence, N 00° 01' 49" E for a distance of 65.00 feet.
Thence, N 45° 40'28" E for a distance of 98.31 feet.
Thence, S 89° 58' 11 " E for a distance of 60.00 feet to a point 60.00 feet west of the East
line of said Southeast Quarter.
Thence, N 00° 01'49" E along a line 60.00 feet west of and parallel with said East line for a
distance of 608.02 feet to a point on the South line of Tract 5 of Golden Acres in Saline,
County, Kansas extended west.
Thence, N 89° 50' 11 " E along the extension of said South line for a distance of 120.00 feet
to a point 60.00 feet east of the East line of said Southeast Quarter.
Thence, S 00° 01' 49" W on a line 60.00 feet east of and parallel with the East line of said
Southeast Quarter for a distance of 1349.31 feet to a point 300.00 feet North of and 60.00
feet east of the Southeast corner of said Southeast Quarter.
Thence N 89° 5728" W along a line 300.00 feet north of the South line of said Southeast
Quarter for a distance of 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning;
The above described tract contains 11.867 acres more or less
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "A-1"
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
