An ordinance levying and assessing special assessments on certain
lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas,
to pay the costs of excavating, curbing, guttering, paving
and grading certain streets in said City, and relating to
and providing for the collection of such assessments.
BE IT ORI'41N.ED by the Mayor and. Oouncil of the City of Salina;
Section 1. That for the purpose of paying the costs of
excavating, curbing, guttering, paving and grading State Street
from The l�'Iissouri Pacific Railroad Right of Way to Dry Creek Bridge,
as provided in Ordinance No. 2263; and for the purpose of paying
the cost of excavating, grading and paving State Street from Col-
lege Avenue to the Missouri Pacific Railroad R.igrt of gay, as pro-
vided in Ordinance No. 2262, that there is'hereby levied and
assessed against the property liable therefor, the same being the
property abutting on such street, on either side thereof, for the
purpose of such improvements without regard to the buildings or
improvements thereon, such special assessments being based on the
valuation of such lots and pieces of ground heretofore made by
three disinterested appraisers appointed by the Mayor and Council
for the purpose of making such appraisement, which appraisement is
hereby referred to and made a, part of this ordinance. The several
amounts levied and assessed against the lots and pieces of ground
aforesaid for the purpose aforesaid are hereby found and determined
to be as follows:

Section 2. Such amounts so levied and assessed shall be
due and payable from and after the publication of this ordinance.
The City Clerk of the city of Salina, Kansas, shall certify to
the County Clerk of the County of Saline and State of Kansas, in
the same manner and at the same time as other taxes are certified
for the year 1920, all of the above special assessments which haw
not been paid within thirty days after the publication of this or-
dinance, together with interest on such amounts in the sum of four
and three-quarters (4-3/4%) per cent per annum, and such amounts
so certified shall be placed on the tax roll and collected as oth-
er taxes are collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.

of Journal j o. 9. Said ordinance was published in The Salina Eve-
ning' Journal December 15th, 1919.

AN ORDIINAWCE levying and assessing special assessments on
certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas

grading certain streets in said City., and relating to and

BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Salina;

The Yissouri Pacific Railroad Right of Tay to Dry Creek Bridge,
as provided in Ordinance No. 2263; and for the purpose of paying
the cost of excavating', grading and paving Stnte Street from
College Avenue to the Missouri Pacific Railroad Right.of Way, as
provided in Ordinance No. 2262, that there is hereby levied and
assessed against the property liable therefor, the same being the
property abbutting on such street, on either side thereof, for the
purpose of such improvments without regard to the buildings or
improvments thereon, such special assessments being based on
the valuation of such lots and pieces of ground heretofore made

Section 2. Such amounts so levied and assessed shall be due and
