(Published in the Salina Evening journal August 1919)
An ordinance making a special assessment and levy of taxes for
the cutting of weeds on certain lots and parts of lots
in the city ,of Salina, Kansas,
BE IT. ORDAINED. by the Mayor and. Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied a special
tax for the :year 1919, in addition to the tax for general reven-
ue and other purposes. for said year, for the purpose of paying
for the cutting of weeds by the City of Salina, Kansas, from
August., 1918 to August, 1919, on the lots and parts of lots
against which said taxes are levied, said tax to be levied on
the lots and parts of lots described as follows, and to be in
the amounts as follows, to -wit:

Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
the assessments made in Section 1 hereof to the County Clerk of
Saline County, Kansas, to be placed on the tax_ roll for collection,
subject to .the same penalties and to be collected in the same
manner as other taxes are collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its publication once in The
Salina Evening Journal.
