2254 Construction of SidewalksM 308 ORDINANCE NO. 2254 (Published in The Salina Evening Journal lay 1919 An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas. BE IT ORDAINED, by the X-Jayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following de- scribed lots and tracts of land in the City of Salina, Kansas, be and they are hereby required to construct or cause to be constructed on or before.the 15th day of June, 1919, a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such lots hereinafter described as follows : Lots 9-11-13, Block 2, Riverside Park Addition.' Lots 74-76-78, on Ninth Street, Kansas Weslevan Uni- versity Addition. 0 Lot 8,, Plat "C" East side of -Columbia "venue from Iron Avenue to Hill Drive. idlest side of Front Street from Elm Street to Pine Street. Lots 22-24-26 and m. 1/2 Lot 28, Baker Street in Phillip's Second Addition. West side of Block 5, Leavenworth Addition. South side of State Street from Clark Street, east to. College Avenue Section 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be constructed of the material and in the width and man- ner specified and required by the provisions of ordinances num- bered 1038, 1971 and 1974 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3., The committee on sidewalks of the City Coun- cil shall as soon as practicable after the 15th day of June, 1919, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the owner or owners liable for such construction shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct same wit'llrl the time herein provided and shall report their proceedings together with the length and, dimensions so constructed by said committee together with the actual expense thereof., to the City Council. Section 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalk by said committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said real estate are collected.
