Approval of Change Order No. 2, (Project No. 91-849B) East Dry Creek Interceptor
Sewer - Pump Stations.
Background
The contractor for this project, Stevens Contractors, Inc., performed certain
construction activities during the past year that were not included in the
original scope of work. This project which involved the construction of! three (3)
large capacity wastewater pumping stations on the East Dry Creek Interceptor Sewer
began in November, 1992. The pump stations have now been completed and have been
operational for the past eight (8) months. Change Order No. 2 addresseslfive (5)
additional work items:
(a) Installation of an additional wood beam to provide support forlthe roof
trusses at Pump Stations A, B., and C.
Additive Cost: $1,099.40
(b) Piping modifications to the potable water system at Pump Station A.
Additive Cost: $715.70
(c) Additional dewatering operations and clean-up work due to high
groundwater conditions at Pump Stations A and B.
Additive Cost: $4,998.00
(d) Wiring modifications on high discharge pressure switches and
installation of electrical meters at Pump Stations A, B, and C.
Additive Cost: $645.15
(e) Installation of an electrical line filter to eliminate VFD noise
interference with the flow meters at Pump Station C.
Additive Cost: $1,287.74

The final construction cost of this project included the previous change order was
$1,858,889.64 or a 1% increase over the original contract price.
Recommendati on
It is recommended the City Commission approve Change Order No. 2 (Projec~
No. 91-849B) in the net amount of $8,745.99.
