PROCLAMATION OF THE CI'I'Y OF SALINA
WHEREAS The Salvation Army provides spiritual guidance and basic
human necessities to the needy and the hurting on a daily
basis; and
WHEREAS A love of God and a deep desire to help others is the
motivation behind the men and women of The Salvation
Army; and
WHEREAS Their work helps others to live meaningful and productive
lives, and also stands as a symbol of compassion for all
the world to see; and
WHEREAS The Salvation Army extends its loving hand to a~l people
in need without regard for race, color, creed, Sex or
age;
NOW, I, Joe Warner, Mayor of Salina, Kansas, do hereby proclaim
THEREFORE the period of May 9-15, 1994, National Salvation Army Week
in Salina and urge all citizens to join me in honoring the
dedicated men and women of The Salvation Army who faithfully
touch so many lives in our community.
