4.1 Kansas Master Teacher Anne PROCLAMATION
The City of Salina, Kansas
WHEREAS, Emporia State University annually recognizes seven Master Teachers
from throughout the state of Kansas; and
WHEREAS, Anne Nettleton, elementary art teacher in USD 305, has been seleCted '
from among many outstanding nominees as a 1994 Kansas Maste~
Teacher, and
WHEREAS, Anne Nettleton has been teaching the youth of Salina for 20 years -,o.. ,.
with dedication, creativity and enthusiasm, and has demonstrated i the
commitment and qualities of a Master Teacher, and
WHEREAS, Through her involvement with the Salina Arts and Htunanities
Commission, the Smoky Hill Museum, the Salina Arts Center, anti the
Smoky Hill River Festival, Anne Nettleton has also made further
contributions to the education and cultural opportunities available for
young people, and
WHEREAS, Anne Nettleton represents the many excellent teachers upon whom
Salina's youth depend for the education which is to be their
foundation for the future;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Peter F. Brungardt,
Mayor of the City of Salina, do hereby proclaim April 10-16, 1994 as
Kansas Master Teacher Anne Nettleton Week
In the city of Salina, and encourage all citizens to
