4.5 Alpha Delta Kappa MonthWHEREAS ALPHA DELTA KAPPA is an international sorority for
professional teachers, both active and retired, who have been
recognized to be strong and efficient teachers, and
WHEREAS ALPHA DELTA KAPPA strives to promote high standards of
education and thereby strengthen the status and advancement
of the teaching profession, and
WHEREAS This sorority promotes educational and charitable projects and
activities, sponsors scholarships, and cooperates with worthy
community programs relating to education and charities, and
WHEREAS ALPHA DELTA KAPPA contributes to world understanding,
goodwill, and peace throUgh an international fellowship of
women educators united in ideals of education, and
WHEREAS The month of October is designated as a time to focus
recognition of the sorority, its members, and its educational and
charitable service to the community,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, John Divine, Mayor of the City of Salina, do hereby
declare the month of October as:
"ALPHA DELTA KAPPA MONTH"
in the City of Salina.
