6.2 Advis Auth Woodland HillsCITY OF SALINA ~. REQUEST FOR COMMISSION ACTION DATE ~ 8/28/95 4:00 P.M. AGENDA SECTION: ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: APPROVED FOR NO. 6 AGENDA: City Clerk ITEM: BY': ,Judy D. Lon BY: Item Resolution Number 95-4920 as to the advisability and authorizing construction of certain street and utility improvements in the Woodland Hills Estates Addition and rescinding Resolution Numbers 95-4905 and 95-4915. Background It was discovered that Petition Number 4106, filed by Darvin Dent for street and utility improvements in the Woodland Hills Estates Addition, contained a typographical error in the description of the benefit district. The benefit district omitted 10 lots which are in the area to be improved. It is the recommendation of staff, the City Attorney and Bond Counsel that the paperwork for the project be redone, starting with a new petition. Mr. Dent filed Petition Number 4108, on August 24, 1995. Resolution Number 95-4920 determines the advisability of the project, authorizes the project and rescinds both of the previous resolutions. It is necessary to rescind the previous resolutions because the incorrect benefit district was shown. The scope of work listed in the previous feasibility report and explained during an earlier Commission meeting is still correct. Recommendation 1. The Commission needs to accept the petition and a report from the City Engineer which declares the petition sufficient. 2. Adopt Resolution Number 95-4920.
