Chlorination Facility.
Background
Smoky Hill, L.L.C., the contractor for this project, has requested consideration of
several revisions to the contract documents. These project modifications include
the following:
{a) Revise electrical circuits; add switches and
receptacles; etc.' +$4,696
{b} Modifications to the mechanical system: +$1,965
(c) Remove and replace curbing and sidewalk along
4th Street at new plant entrance: +$2,385
(d) Delete emergency breathing equipment: -$2,747
(e) Modifications to doors (locksets and panic
hardware): +$2,131
(f) Painting revisions: -}604
Net Change: +$7,826
We have reviewed the proposed modifications and concur with our consultant (Wilson &
Co.) the cost adjustment for each of the six (6) proposals listed above fairly
addresses the material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs to perform the work as
specified.
Recommendation
It is recommended the City Commission approve Change Order No. I (Project No.
93-879) in the amount of $7,826.00.
