Public hearing and report on Petition Number 4098 requesting the vacation of Pine
Street between Santa Fe Avenue and Ninth Street.
BACKGROUND
The petition was submitted on March 2, 1995, by Mr. William D. (Bill) Smith and
was referred to Engineering for a report at the March 6, 1995 City commission
Meeting. A public hearing was conducted on March 27, 1995 and continued to allow
staff additional time for investigation. This vacation request significantly
affects several property owners including the Union Pacific Railroad Company.
On Wednesday, April 12, 1995, the UPRR Company requested additional time to
review this request before providing their position.
R ECOMMENDAT I ON
It is recommended that the City Commission continue the public hearing until May
8, 1995.
