Resolution No. 95-4848 authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Thermoflex
Inc., Salina, for a service contract for replacement of fabric roof and structure for Dean Evans Stadium.
BACKGROUND:
During the July 1, 1994, storm, the fabric roof covering Dean Evans Stadium was destroyed, along
with two support arms. Staff has worked with Thermoflex, Inc., the original designer and installer of
the structure on reinforcing understructure support arms. The City's insurance carrier has reviewed
proposed engineering changes for the roof and has reviewed costs estimate. Estimated replacemenl
costs of materials, labor, and upgraded supports are $48,900. This cost would be paid from insurance
proceeds less any deductibles and approximately $200 for upgrade in supports.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adoption of Resolution No. 95-4848 authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with
Thermoflex, Inc., for replacement of Dean Evans Stadium roof.
