Background: The City's maintenance practice is to contract repainting the street pavement markings or striping twice a year. When weather has interfered and the street marking was not accomplished, the pavement marking required extra work in lay out and many markings were illegible, creating a safety concern. As requested by the City Commission this contract has the option to bid either or both the spring and fall painting under one contract. Costs for this contract will be paid from the 1995 Special Gas Tax contractual line item. Recommendation: It is recommended March 7, 1995 be set as the date to receive bids for the 1995 Street Marking Project. COMMISSION ACTION MOTION BY SECOND BY THAT:
