Revenue Sharing FundsAGREEMENT This Agreement, made and entered into this 1st day of January, 1986, by and between the CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and UNITED WAY of Salina, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as "United Way", WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the City annually receives numerous requests from various agencies for Federal Revenue Sharing Funds and it is not equipped to properly evaluate the competing requests of such agencies; and, WHEREAS, the United Way has developed proper methods for evaluating such requests for funds; and, NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants herein contained it is mutually agreed by and between the City and United Way as follows: (1). City agrees that it will make a contribution of $20,000 from its Federal Revenue Sharing Fund Budget to United Way and United Way agrees that it will evaluate all requests which the City receives for these Revenue Sharing Funds. (2). United Way agrees that it will allocate the Revenue Sharing Funds received from the City to the various applicants after carefully evaluating all requests for such funds and to include a list of various ways money is to be spent in 1986. The allocation of said funds shall be made solely on the basis of the evaluation made by United Way and its decision as to the allocation of said funds shall be final. (3). City shall be under no obligation to make further annual contributions to the United Way, however, in the event that future Revenue Sharing Funds are allocated to United Way, then the terms of this agreement shall apply to said funds. (4). This agreement may be terminated by either party at the end of any calendar year. (5). This agreement shall be binding upon the representative successors and assigns of the parties hereto.
