Application #P80-2A, filed by Richard and Sarah Morrison, requesting
approval of the final plat of The Meadows, containing 31.9 acres (north
side of Country Club Road approximately 0.3 mile east of the city limits)

At their October 21, 1980 meeting the Salina City Planning Commission reviewed
the Final Plat of The Meadows as requested in Application #P80-2A. At that time
a motion was passed (6-1) approving the plat and authorizing the Chairman to
sign it. The dissenting vote was concerned about the long term capacity of the
well proposed for water supply and the poor soil types for septic systems.
As this plat is located outside the city limits, but within one mile it must
be approved by both the city and the county. After approval by the city the
plat must then be approved by the Saline County Planning and Zoning Board and
the County Commission prior to recording.
The City Commission is, therefore, requested to approve the plat and authorize
the mayor to sign it.
