At the Focus Session on May 22, 1980, the Commission discussed the pro-
posed Housing Ordinance with the CAC. At that meeting, I was instructed
to place this item on the agenda.
The format and specific wording of the CAC's proposed ordinance needs
modification. Rather than spend the necessary time on the modification
without some indication that the Commission will consider it, I request
you place it on the agenda and if the Commission entertains a serious
intent to consider it, the action should be for the Commission to direct
the City Manager to have the proposed ordinance prepared i~ proper form
and to check for legality.
I would suggest at least a six-week period for the City Attorney to
do this; thus, perhaps, placing it back on the agenda on AugustlL 1980.
