WHEREAS, social problems continue to impede our society's progress
toward a productive and rewarding I ife for every citizen; and
WHEREAS, trained professional social workers are addressing our
human problems directly and effec'tively in both crisis and
everyday situations; and
WHEREAS, these professionals need the informed support of our commun ity
to continually maintain and improve the quality of social services
to individuals and groups:
NOW, THEREFORE, I
proclaim the month of March, 1980, as PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL
WORK MONTH and call on each ci t izen to join with the
SMOKY HILL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS in
thi s observance;
FURTHERMORE, I urge each citizen to join and support the social work
profession in its efforts to advance the quality of life in
our community.
