Relocate Gas Line ~KPL w~ A~R '2. 1 \991. April 20, 1992 This letter will document the agreement by, between, and among the City of Salina (City), the County of Saline (County), the Salina Airport Authority (SAA), the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), and The Kansas Power and Light Company (KPL) concerning the construction of highway improvements located in the Northwest (NW!) of Section 2, Township 15 South, Range 3 West, in Saline County: KPL agrees to the following: 1. KPL shall lower the eight-inch natural gas transmission pipeline located under the area of the proposed exit/entrance ramp located on the West side of Interstate Highway 135 and South of Schilling Road in Salina. Said lowering will be accomplished by the removal of the existing pipeline and replacing it with new fittings and pipe at a depth sufficient to give adequate clearance between the pipeline and the construction of said ramp. 2. KPL shall provide personnel to act as on-site inspectors to monitor the highway construction contractor when said contractor excavates near KPL's eight-inch pipeline located on the East side of 1-135 and South of Schilling Road. 3. KPL shall invoice the City for the actual cost of lowering the pipeline referred to in paragraph numbered I above after said lowering is complete. Actual costs shall include labor, materials and appropriate overheads related to the work to be done. 4. KPL shall invoice the City for the actual cost of inspection and monitoring as provided in paragraph numbered 2 above after work in the area of said eight inch pipeline on the East side of 1-135 is complete. Actual costs shall include labor, materials and appropriate overheads related to the work to be done. 5.
