LICENSE AGREEMENT
THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 24th day
of February, 1969, by and between the CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a
municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and
GRACE BAPTIST TEMPLE, a nonprofit corporation of 400 East Crawford,
Salina, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee", WITNESSETH:
In consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter stated
the parties hereto agree as follows:
(1). City hereby grants unto the Licensee a license to occupy
and use, subject to all the terms and conditions hereinafter stated,
the following described premises, to wit:
Lots Five (5), Seven (7), Nine (9) and Eleven (11)
in Block Five (5), in Wood's Replat, in Bond's
Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas,
for the sole purpose of using the same as a parking lot for auto-
mobiles and for purposes incidental thereto, for a term of twenty-
five (25) years beginning on January 1, 1969.
(2). Licensee shall pay the City for this license the sum of
One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), payable Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) upon the execution of this agreement and Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) on or before January 1, 1970.
(3). Licensee agrees that the portion of the lots actually
used for parking of automobiles will be hard surfaced and kept
in a good state of repair.
(4). Licensee acknowledges that it is fully aware that the
above property is a part of the impounding system of the Salina
Flood Control System and that the grade of said property may not be
materially changed so as to adversely affect the use of said prop-
erty by the City for impounding flood waters.
(5). Licensee agrees that it will save the City harmless from
any and all liability for personal injuries, property damage, or
for loss of life or property resulting from, or in any way connected
with the condition or use of the premises covered by this license,
or any means of ingress thereto or egress therefrom.
