Dear Mr. Forgy:
This is a Letter Agreement for the above referenced surveying project
services. We have discussed this project with you and understand the scope
of services and project shall be as follows:
FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS AGREES TO:
1. Make a topographic survey of South Ohio Street commencing 100 Feet South
of Wayne Street and terminating 100 Feet north of Greeley Street.
Topographic features to be recorded shall be all trees, entrances, median
turning and storage bays, utility poles, manholes, valve boxes, inlets,
etc. No adjacent property research or surveying shall be performed and
recorded. The CITY OF SALINA does not need underground utilities
information other than storm sewer elevations at manholes and inlets.
2. Take cross sections at 50 Foot intervals and at centerline of cross street
intersections. A section shall also be taken at each cross street 100 Feet
left and right of the centerline of Ohio Street. Profiles shall also be
taken at each entrance location.
3. Establish flow line elevations at existing curb inlets and curb inlet storm
drainage pipes.
4. Survey from two base lines. These base lines shall be located a minimum
of 5 Feet behind the existing street curbs.
5. Reduce the survey cross section notes to direct elevations.

CITY OF SALINA AGREES TO:
6. Provide centerline and right-of-way horizontal control points in the
field.
7. Provide vertical control benchmark elevations on fire hydrants or other
permanent markers along Ohio Street.
8. Plot the cross sections and draft the topographic features.
9. Remunerate to FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS according to actual
progress of the surveying work upon receipt of an invoice payable within
30 days.
The remuneration shall be the lump sum amount of $ 8,000.00
(eight thousand and 00/100 dollars).
The CITY OF SALINA shall have the right to terminate this AGREEMENT
anytime, upon written notice, in the event the PROJECT is to be abandoned or
indefinitely postponed, or because of FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS
inability to proceed with the work, or because the services of FORGY-ALLEN,
SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS are unsatisfactory, provided, however, that in any
case FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS shall be paid a reasonable value of
the services rendered up to the time of termination on the basis of the
provisions of this AGREEMENT, but in no case shall payment be more than
FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS & TECHNICIANS actual costs plus a reasonable sum for
profit.
It is further agreed this AGREEMENT shall be binding upon the Parties
hereto and their successors and assigns.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, THE CITY OF SALINA and FORGY-ALLEN, SURVEYORS &
TECHNICIANS have executed this AGREEMENT on MARCH ;7, 1985.
