(2) Estimated usage
The upstream agricultural irrigators were allowed by DWR to resume use of Smoky Hill River water
on Friday, August 4. Very few violations of the Water Warning have been found among Salina
citizens and no citations have been issued.
The forecast for the next week is as follows:
Temperature Highs in the lower to upper 90’s to lower 100’s
Precipitation Clear to partly cloudy daily with a 40% chance of rain for Monday
Water Supply 4.8 MGD from the river water and the remainder necessary to meet
demands from the wells
