Application #A79-6, requesting annexation of a tract of land in
Sections 19 and 30, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, containing approximately 33 acres.
At their July 17, 1979 meeting the Salina City Planning Commission reviewed
this annexation. At that time a motion was passed (5-0) recommending approval
of the annexation. Also included in the motion was a condition that the
property be zoned II A-I" (Agri culture) .
The annexation was proposed to accelerate and simplify the process of annexing
the property contained by the Flood Protection Levee in this area by annexing
the City-owned dike. If the property is annexed the number of separate
annexations in this area can be reduced from 10 to 2.
To complete this action in accordance with the Planning Commission's recommend-
ation, an ordinance must be passed annexing the property and zoning it "A-l".
