The attached contract for design services with Architectural Services PLUS
(Ken Bieberly) is for what we hope will be the last work necessary at
Memorial Hall. Ken was selected after soliciting proposals from 4 architects
(Max Bishop, Russ Jones, Les Appleby and Ken Bieberly) and receiving pro-
posals from 3 of them.
We are proposing to provide a new heating plant, a sump pump in the basement,
a new 3" water supply line, elimination of odors in two of the restrooms,
a method of keeping the gym lights lit, a light and ladder into the elevator
pit, a ventilator fan in the elevator, possible refinishing and/or rebuilding
of the stage floor and possible roof work.
This contract is for 9% of the construction costs which we are currently
estimating in the $25,000-$40,000 range. Both this contract and the cons-
truction contract will be paid out of Community Development funds.
