Re: Petition #3757 by Oscar and Delores Tappendick, requesting
annexation of part of Lot 1, Surveyor's Plat #53 in Saline
County, Kansas.
Mayor Graves and Gentlemen:
At their May 15, 1979 meeting the Salina City Planning Commission reviewed
the Tappendick petition (#3757) for annexation to the City of Salina. At
that time a motion was unanimously approved (7-0) to recommend that this
petition be approved and zoned "RS (FP)", Residential Suburban (Flood Plain).
The Planning Commission further directed the Planning Staff to initiate
annexation proceedings on the remainder of Surveyor's Plat #53.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A tract of land located in Surveyorls Plat No. 53 in Saline County,
Kansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is six hundred twenty-three feet
(623') south of the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter
(S.E.l/4) of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.l/4) of Section Thirty-
six (36), Township Thirteen (13) South, Range Three (3) West of
the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County; thence east one
hundred fifty-four feet (1541); thence south fifty feet (501);
thence east one hundred twenty feet (1201); thence south one
hundred fifty-two feet (1521) to the south line of Lot One (1),
said Surveyor1s Plat No. 53; thence west along the south line
of said Lot One (1) a distance of two hundred seventy-four feet
(2741); thence north two hundred two feet (202') to the point
of beginning.
Said tract contains 1.32 acres, more or less.
