IIRSII (Single-Family Residential Suburban) to District 111-211
(Light Industrial)
Gentlemen and Mrs. Graves:
On August, 15, 1978, the Salina City Planning Commission con'cluded a public
hearing on Zoning Application #Z78-11, as amended.
At that time, a motion was unanimously approved (5-0) to recommend that this
application be approved based upon the following Findings of Fact:
1.
This amendment would be consistent with the intent and purposes of
the zoning regulations as specifically enumerated in Section 36-101
of the Salina Code.
2.
Every permitted use listed in the 111-211 District would be compatible
with uses permitted on other property in the immediate vicinity.
Through consultation with the Engineering Department it has been
determined that adequate sewer and water facilities, and all other
needed public services exist or can be provided to serve the permitted
uses on the property if it is reclassified.
3.
4.
No errors in the application of the zoning regulations are known to
have occurred.

This amendment is made necessary due to changing conditions in the
area. Although there is no industrial zoning in the immediate area
there is an industrial tract north of State Street. The deterioration
- of the area and compliance with the Land Use Plan are factors for
consideration of approval of this request.
