Norris had to make an unexpected trip to Kansas' City Thursday
afternoon.

F-3: We have included staff's recommendation for each of you. Staff
rs-recommending that this statement be mailed out with a copy of the
building permit to the home owner. When this was presented to the
CAC at last night's meeting, while no vote was taken, there was some
concern of this not placin~ enough responsibility on the contractor.
You may want to review the original recommendation (copy included).
Someone from the CAC will probably be present at your meeting
Monday. In visiting with Larry Bengtson about this, it appears
that any type of regulatory action could open Pandora's Box. It
borders on consumer protection. Thi.nk you can see that this could
have many ramifications. There are many types of contractors that
we do not presently license, including those building new homes.
Other items:
The letter from G. E. Johnson is something you may want
in Executive Session with Shelby Willis. It appears to
potential for developing into litigation.
