THIS AMENDMENT made and entered into this day of t
1978, by and between the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (herein called the "Governmentll),
pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1401, et seq., which
Act as amended to the date of this Contract is herein called the "Act"), and the
Department of Housing and Urban Development Actt and the CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS
(herein called the IILocal Authorityll);
WIT N E SSE T H :

WHEREAS, the Government and the Local Authority executed Contract No.
FW-1114 on July 16, 1968, under the Section 23 Housing Assistance Program covering
Project No. KANS. 38-1; and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to convert certain funds approved under the
Section 23 Existing Housing Program to the Section 8 Existing Housing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual benefits
to the Parties hereto, it is hereby agreed that the Contract be, and the same is
hereby amended as follows:
1. Paragraph B of Section 1 of Part One of the Contract is amended to
read as follows:
1 .(B) Subject to the provisions of this Contract the Government shall
make annual contributions to the Local Authority in respect to
the Project for the estimated number of dwelling units of various
sizes and in the fixed amounts as follows:

2. Paragraph 0 of Section 1 of Part One of the Contract is amended to
read as follows:
1.(0) The making of this Contract and the undertaking of the loan and annual
contributions as herein provided, were approved on List No. KC-78-105 approved April lOt
1978.
3. All other provisions of the Annual Contributions Contract shall remain in
full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Local Authority and the Government have caused this
Amendment to be executed and the Local Authority has caused its seal to be hereunto affixed
and attested, all as of the Date of this Amendment first above written.
