Since I am out of toen and will not be able to attend the City COIJ.n1.ssi::.n ceellng when this caUer is considered, I BJ:l taking, the liberty of expressing my c::>ncern 1n this matter. When we built our ho~e at 8e8 Millwood in 1960, the plan for that area between ¡nlh/ood and Crawford from Roach to Ohio inclcded a buffer zone of 60 foet back of the houses \l on the nor~h side of Millwood. ïhia zone would protect the residential area from any business enterprise that ob~ld have , a ~eriouB effect on the aesthetic, as well as the dollar value of tho homes in this area. . Mr. Riker recog,nized the need for such a zone; and aaa m~ttcr of fact, he told me on different Occ83ions that such a land- scaped zone would be good for the entire area., With theso asaurances, we built our home and thore i6 ample. evidence that Bsny of the other home owners in that area ~re of the samo op+nion. The concerns of home owners in this residential area are valid. ,~ho buffer zone was an important factor when considering pur- chasing a home 1n this area.
