The installation of a 6" watermain on Baker Street between South Street and Morrison A venue
to benefit properties along this section of street. Presently, the properties within the benefit
district are served with small diameter waterlines which arc privately owned, The existing
waterlines have deteriorated considerably over time and require frequent maintenance by the
property owners and need to be replaced,
The projeét includes only the installation costs associated with the installation of the new
watennain, fittings, valves and hydrants. The Water Division will be responsible for the
installation of new copper service lines from the new watennain located in Baker Street to a
curb stop located near the curb line, Each property owner will then be required to re-connect
their 0\\11 water service lines to this curb stop at their expense.
