Ash Salina, Kansas 67401 Re: Application #CZ77-4 Gentlemen and Mrs. Graves: On June 21, 1977, the Salina City Planning ComITiissfon reviewed a request from the Saline County Planning and Zoning Commission to review an appli- cation filed by Abbott Construction, Inc., to rezone a 99.5 acre tract in the SE~ and in'the E~ of the SW~ of Section 2-14-3 from IIAII (First Dwelling House District) to IIGII (Heavy Industrial District). At that time, a motion was unanimously approved to recommend that Saline County deny this application since the necessity of zoning this much land industrially in light of the amount of undeveloped industrial land presently available is questionable. The applicant is further urged to request annex- ation to the City of Salina with an immediate requèst for a Planned Develop- ment District and proper subdividing of the land.
