RESOLUTION NUMBER 93-4621
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FIFTH STREET AS A ONE-WAY
STREET SOUTHBOUND FROM THE INTERSECTION OF IRON AVENUE TO THE
INTERSECTION OF MULBERRY STREET; AND DESIGNATING SEVENTH STREET
AS A ONE-WAY STREET NORTHBOUND FROM THE INTERSECTION OF
MULBERRY STREET TO THE INTERSECTION OF ASH STREET.
WHEREAS, Fifth Street has been designated a one-way street
southbound from the intersection of Ash Street to the intersection of Prescott
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Seventh Street has been designated a one-way street
northbound from the intersection of South Street to the intersection of Ash
Street; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission to enhance the
traffic circulation in the Central Business District; SO NOW, THEREFORE
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That pursuant to K.S.A. 8-202, Fifth Street is hereby
designated a one-way street southbound from the intersection of Iron Avenue to
the intersection of Mulberry Street; and Seventh Street is hereby designated as
a one-way street northbound from the intersection of Mulberry Street to the
intersection of Ash Street, and the City Manager is hereby directed to install
appropriate signs clearly marking the traffic direction on each street.
Section 2. That all other sections of Fifth Street and Seventh
Street are hereby designated for two-way traffic.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city
newspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
19th day of July, 1993.
